Das Foto habe ich mit meinem iPhone 16 Pro und der Kamera App Halide Mark II gemacht. ISO, Belichtungszeit und Fokus habe ich manuell eingestellt. Danach noch etwas Bearbeitung in PhotoLab. Als Tribute to Hasselblad ist das Foto quadratisch zugeschnitten :).

Zwischen dieser Kamera und dem Motiv, einer 500C/M liegen 54 Jahre technischer Entwicklung. Mich fasziniert das Niveau der heutigen Smartphone-Kameras. Ich frage mich, wie die Entwickler es z.B. geschafft haben, ein 5fach optisches Zoom in ein Smartphone einzubauen. Das resultiert in einer Brennweite auf Vollformat von 120mm. Oder etwa Computational Photography: Das mag nicht jeder gut finden, aber die Technik, die hinter Langzeitbelichtungen aus der Hand steckt, ist für mich ebenfalls extrem faszinierend.

Im Ergebnis hat man eine „Immer-dabei-Kamera“, mit der man spontan anspruchsvolle Fotografie betreiben kann.

Zum Beispiel, um auf den Spuren von Martin Parr zu wandeln, einen Fotografen, den ich für seinen Blick auf Alltagssituation bewundere. Sein blitzschnelles Reagieren und Festhalten von Motiven war extrem stark.

Taken as a test of a 300mm lens on the Panasonic Lumix GX85 (effective 600mm). Hand-held.

This was taken in Arizona the day after a "maximum moon", so it is "almost huge".

This is more interesting to me, because you can see shadows of craters, etc, which are not so clear in a full-on completely lit moonface.

Trying for "minimalist" Sunday challenge. Well, ONLY the moon is in the photo....

This little square alarm clock doesn't work at the moment, but its simple mechanism must be easy to repair. I did think of trying to remove the feet to make it exactly square, but that entailed more than I'm capable of.

Taken in the desert near Casa Grande, Arizona. These markers are located close to the RV park where we spent many winters.

The "target" is a group of concrete pads in that shape. There is a benchmark in the exact center. The operators of the spy satellites would take photos of these markers, and then check their locations against the exact positioning of the benchmark.

This is a "circle in a square" for Sunday Challenge.

Taken near the rail yards at Belen, New Mexico. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe use this, primarily to fuel trains. The fences are there to keep us out of these busy yards.

I took this photo near the Harvey House museum, which is just alongside the track.

Some of the trains that stop here are 3 miles long.
