I used the time to take photos of the shed we built together for him.

Roof off.

The telescopes are in the shed so we built the shed with a Roll on roll off roof . we planed it together I gave him the measurements and to cut the material to suit . We built the shed on a 38c day and it is so simple and just works. It is still working some 6 years later just the same as we built it so I hope I really do get the chance to build the same on my own section.

I took photos so I could remember as its looking very much like I will get the chance to build the same myself. A little sorry the photo is very simple but it kind of say my day was not one out of the ordinary at all.

I would like to recommend a photographer I have know for a good few years and is much like myself so I feel happy to say check his photos out Herb Riddle
We were allowed to walk directly past the front of this, between the fence and walls, only passing 1-3 meters from the windows and being able to climb the front steps to the door. We saw that it still looked fully furnished with old ornaments and pictures now covered in sheets and cobwebs. Such a shame.
This a Category A listed Edwardian mansion. Built between 1897 and 1900 as a luxury hunting lodge for the wealthy industrialist Sir George Bullough, it is constructed from distinctive red Rùm sandstone. It is Edwardian gothic/baronial in style and features ornate turrets, battlements, and lavish original interiors including a sprung-floor ballroom. It is now owned by the public nature agency NatureScot, the vacant building has required major structural preservation and has been put up for sale or restorative in recent years
See PiP’s for close look at the entrance and one of the corners.

Enjoy full screen and have a good day.

For the week of:August 17 - August 23
My brother Nicholas, who is nine, looking just about as happy as I was upon discovering at my first (and only) Girl Scout Meeting that we would be sewing Girl Scout flags. I had sort of liked the idea of wearing the uniform - but that perk didn’t come close to making up for having to sew anything - so I never went back.
I’m sure my mother was very happy to have not bought the uniform ahead of time!
My brother lasted for maybe a year - but he wasn’t into the crafts or tasks at all - he just wanted to be somewhere else, playing his guitar.

Many people think of Sydney as Australia’s Capital, but it is not. The capital is Canberra, a small, purpose designed and built city in the Australian Capital Territory. It is inland, in the lower levels of the Snowy Mountain Range, with a population of around 400,000. With embassies, the head departments of all government agencies, and federal Parliament House, it is a city with lots af cultural and artistic facilities. I have lived here for only 6 years, but have become a real lover of it.

An early demise for many of our plants after months of little or no rain. We here in the NW of England would normally have one of the nations most persistent yearly rainfalls things are still tinderbox dry, as could be witnesses last night by the first real National Alarm that was broadcast automatically through everybodies mobile phone warning of wildfires and dangers to life.

Here we see my first attempt at close-up with my Lumix 1000. Does it do the job?
This is the remote Pamir Highway, one of the great adventure journeys of the world. Mostly a single lane, and often pitted and washed away, it crosses a huge high altitude wilderness from Tajikistan, to Kyrgyzstan and Xinjiang in China. Very little traffic uses it, and human settlements are very scarce in this treeless, almost barren landscape weathered by bitter cold, deep snows and winter blizzards. Yaks are the only livestock hardy enough to survive here..and there are not many of them.
It was fabulous to traverse it! It took 2 full days to cross it!
Have a lovely weekend all!
