This elderly piper played the Bag pipes and sold a few Cds from a suitcase in a car parking area above Loch Gary, Invernesshire.
Very smartly turned out although his breath was failing he managed the occasional tune very well,
He was happy to chat and pose for photographs with the collecting point close by. It was a pleasant and enlightening experience! I love talking to people like this!

Die Aussichtsplattform auf der Kuppel des Berliner Doms bietet in 50 Metern Höhe einen 360-Grad-Rundblick. Nach dem Aufstieg von fast 300 Domstufen wird man mit einer spektakulären Aussicht auf die historische Mitte Berlins belohnt. Im Vordergrund sind die charakteristischen kupfergrünen Kuppeln und architektonischen Details des Doms selbst zu sehen. Unterhalb der Kuppel erstreckt sich der Lustgarten mit seinen Baumreihen auf der Museumsinsel, links davon ist das Humboldt Forum und rechts davon das Alte Museum zu sehen.

Ganz ohne Glas, dafür mit einer breiten Brüstung vor sich, hat man hier einen perfekten Rundumblick auf die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten – darunter den berühmten Berliner Fernsehturm. Er ist das höchste Bauwerk Deutschlands. Das Gebäude mit dem hohen roten Turm in der Mitte ist der Sitz des Regierenden Bürgermeisters von Berlin. Rechts im Bild sind die Türme der Marienkirche zu erkennen.

Im Vordergrund links ist die markante Alte Nationalgalerie mit ihrer Freitreppe und den Säulen zu sehen. Links daneben liegt das Neue Museum, unten befindet sich die Friedrichsbrücke, die über die Spree führt. Die Spree fließt direkt am Ufer der Museumsinsel vorbei.

Auch die acht Bronzeengel, die die Domkuppel mit ihren Musikinstrumenten zieren, können vom Kuppelumgang aus näher betrachtet werden.

Das Foto zeigt den Kuppelumgang des Berliner Doms. Die Statue ist eine Christusstatue aus Bronze, die den Außenbereich und die Balustraden des Doms ziert. Im Vordergrund befindet sich eine neobarocke Ädikula, die von einem Kreuz und Engelfiguren gekrönt wird. Durch den Rundbogen blickt man in Richtung des Lustgartens und der angrenzenden Gebäude der Museumsinsel.

The Belfast Titanic museum whose walls are designed to look like Titanic's bow is a great immersive experience, detailing Belfast's shipbuilding history and the Titanic story from is building in Belfast to its tragic end after hitting an iceberg while en route New York. This shows the museum standing behind the actual slipway where the Titanic was launched in 1911. Well worth a visit.

Blangy-le-Château is a picturesque village in the heart of the Pays d’Auge, was awarded in 2024 the official ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ label (mid 2026 there were 184 of such villages).
