Photo taken at Jacundá, Ceará. The 79.5 metres long wind generator blade, on a very long trailer, wouldn't fit in a single photo. Still it's impressive when you have a glimpse.

Allowed to cut dead trees only by the Dept. of Forestry. The two on the left are my son (works for Forest Service) and grandson, the rest are friends of theirs. Wild and crazy day! It's so much like old logging photos as long ago as the early 20th C., just with better equipment.

I wish my dad could have lived to see this. He would love it! In his younger years (age 11 to about 38) he was a logger. He was a woods foreman, coordinating the operations and also operated the big equipment, CAT D-8, skidders, Skagit loader, trucks and so on. I remember it so well. He would take us out to the woods on occasion. I can still smell the chain grease on the CAT and how it felt to struggle up into the cab to sit beside him. What a machine! I still love them!

At Dom Nuno Álvares Pereira Avenue, Almada. Traffic was stranded for about one hour and a half. Police was called to acknowledge the incident, the tram reversed a little and the lorry concluded the u-turn that should have been done in a roundabout 100 metres down.

This was parked in front of a muffler shop. Presumably, this needs more than a new muffler. ;-p When I was two years old, this was a new pickup! It has a lot of big holes drilled around the walls of the bed and around the grille. Would that be to reduce the weight? I've never seen anything like that.

Regarding the image; In order to "fudge" the crowding at the front of the truck's image, I added some stuff for breathing space. This is an example of the difficulty I have taking pictures with poor eyesight,now. I didn't see that the image wasn't properly in the frame. So, I could go back and do it again tomorrow, or just add something called a mirror frame and call it a day. ;-)
