Die kurze Wanderung führt vom Waldparkplatz zu den beiden Wasserfällen des Tatzelwurms, sie sind Wasserfälle des Auerbachs, wo über zwei Felsstufen das Wasser der Wasserfälle 95 Meter in die Tiefe rauscht.

Seinen Namen erhielt der Wasserfall bereits vor über 750 Jahren nach dem Fabelwesen Tatzelwurm. Möglicherweise trug der Wasserfall seinerseits auch zur Legendenbildung bei und darf als Ursprungsort der Tatzelwurmsagen gelten: Man hört das Donnern des herabstürzenden Wassers und sieht die aufsteigende Gischt bereits aus einiger Entfernung, aber die Schlucht und den Wasserfall selbst erblickt man erst, wenn man unmittelbar davor steht. Wer sich unvorsichtig in dieser Gegend bewegt, kann in die Schlucht stürzen und so „vom Tatzelwurm verschlungen“ werde (WiKi)

Hallo zusammen
noch eine Frage zu den Fotos die ich jetzt hochladen in eigener Sache
Ich habe zurzeit nur einen Laptop zur Verfügung wo ich die Bilder geringfügig bearbeiten kann
Es ist vom Bildschirm schwer einzuschätzen ob die Bilder von der Belichtung zu hell zu dunkel sind

Wäre super wenn ihr mir schreibt Bild zu dunkel oder wie ihr das Bild seht

Bei dem Thierbach-Wasserfall südlich der Mönchsmühle unterhalb von Tückelhausen (bei Ochsenfurt) handelt es sich um ein für den Mühlenbetrieb künstlich geschaffenes Stauwehr. Der Thierbach fließt an dieser Stelle über eine fast zwei Meter hohe Fallstufe. Durch den starken Bewuchs wirkt der Wasserfall sehr natürlich. Bis zum Jahr 2004 wurde der Thierbach von Rittershausen bis Gaukönigshofen auf einer Länge von rund fünf Kilometer für etwa 250.000 € in den natürlichen Urzustand versetzt und bietet nun zahlreichen seltenen Tieren ein Zuhause. Wasserfälle sind in Unterfranken eher selten.

At this point, the Thierbach flows over a drop of almost two meters. Due to the dense vegetation, the waterfall appears very natural. Up until 2004, the Thierbach was restored to its natural original state along a stretch of about five kilometers from Rittershausen to Gaukönigshofen at a cost of approximately €250,000, and it now provides a habitat for numerous rare animal species.

In a natural glacier cave at approx. 2,500 metres above sea level. Above it, millions of tonnes of ice. In January, when there is less movement in the ice due to severe frost, the risk of such expeditions is lower. (Pictured is my wife. Illumination with 4 LED lights 5,600K + 1 headlamp)

In einer natürlichen Gletscherhöhle auf ca. 2.500 Metern Seehöhe. Darüber Millionen Tonnen Eis. Im Januar, wenn bei starkem Frost weniger Bewegung im Eis ist, ist das Risiko solcher Expeditionen geringer. (Im Bild meine Frau. Illumination mit 4 LED-Leuchten 5.600K + 1 Stirnlampe)
