Salto Floriano is one of the most spectacular falls on the Brazilian side of Iguazú (the falls in the background are in Argentina).
The first note was taken from the topmost viewpoint, the second from the lower viewpoint.

Pistyll Rhaeadr meaning "waterfall (of) Rhaeadr" is a waterfall 4 miles Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant in Powys, Wales, and 16 miles west of Oswestry. It falls in three stages, over a 240-foot cliff-face, and is spectacular, but doesn't compare to other waterfalls in more mountainous regions. When we drove out that day to visit the waterfall, it was a beautiful day but cold, with snow on the surrounding hills.

The road towards the fall is narrow with passing places occasionally, and that day was very icy. At one point Adrian lost of control of the car as it slid down the final slope before the car park. I was not the most popular passenger that day. ;-)

The main photo shows the upper reaches of the waterfall only, and that leads directly on to PiP 1. and finally PiP 2. I needed a much wider angle lens for this photo.

PiP 1 shows the middle stage of the waterfall with a natural 'bridge'

PiP 2 shows the lower reaches of the waterfall continuing to fall.

The walk up to the fall is quite a climb but from the far side of the Valley you get to see the full length of the falls. the walk from here is down to the base of the fall and a pool that can be swam in. The view from here does not get the very bottom of the falls. You can see the Pink shirt of some one climbing out the other side of the valley no easy climb.

At Aldeyarfoss river Skjálfandafljót drops 20m over the basalt colums of Suðurárhraun lava field.

The waterfall can be reached via road 842 (turnoff from the ring road near Goðafoss) through Barðardalur. At the end of the valley the road turns into mountain road F26, Sprengisandsleið, one of the great highland crossings. Aldeyarfoss is 5 km along F26.

Gljúfrabúi, the hidden waterfall, lies at the foot of Eyjafjallajökull volcano and is part of Katla Geopark. It is just 600m from much better known Seljalandsfoss and much less crowded. To get to the waterfall you either have to wade the stream or balance on wet rocks and once you are in front of the falls you get a full shower - I stayed outside;-)

The second PiP shows part of the trek to the top of the waterfall, where poles and chains enable one to get up hazardous parts of the climb.

These falls in the river Þjórsá have the highest average flow rate (360 m³/s) of any waterfall in Iceland. Sadly its days might be numbered because there are plans for a dam and power station.

Zwischen Buttermarkt und Hackenberger Mühle: der etwa 20 Meter hohe Wasserfall, eine der Attraktionen von Saarburg.

Um genügend Löschwasser für den Brandfall zu haben wurde im 11. oder 12. Jahrhundert der Leukbach durch die Stadtanlage umgeleitet, mit der Wasserkraft konnten zugleich mehrere Mühlräder angetrieben werden.
Dieses Projekt gilt als städtebauliche Meisterleistung für diese Zeit.
Der Buttermarkt rund um den Wasserfall ist heute der Mittelpunkt von Saarburg.
