…man verzeihe die Handyqualität….aber mit einem kalten Fläschchen Radler auf einem Klappstuhl unterm Windrad sitzend, hatte ich nur eine Hand frei :-)
Kommt gut durch die (shice) Hitze…bleibt verschont von Unwettern und vor allem, bleibt gesund!

Yesterday evening I went with my photography club to the Wind Farm ar Royd Moor, above Penistone in Yorkshire. These are some of the pictures I took. Unfortunately the weather was not great so it was not worth staying for the sunset, which can be quite spectacular.

Ich war gestern seit langem mal wieder unterwegs und habe unter anderem der Windkraftanlage Pafebierg in der Gemeinde Mompach ( Pfaffenberg auf deutsch :) ) einen Besuch abgestattet.
Das Bild enstand auf meiner Drohnen-Maximalflughöhe von 120 Meter.
Hauptmerkmale laut Betreiber Soler:
Inbetriebnahme: 2020
Gesamtleistung: 3.200 kW
Anlagentyp: E-115
Rotordurchmesser: 115,70m
Nabenhöhe: 149m
Jahresproduktion : 7,5 Mio kWh (Dies entspricht laut Angaben des Betreibers einem jährlichen Verbrauch von 1.659 Haushalten oder 6.636 Personen).

Diese Anlage ersetzt seit 2020 einen Windpark von 4 kleineren Windkraftanlagen!

This panorama is a narrow slice of a 35mm format photograph. The Rampion wind farm appears and disappears according to the lighting and to a lesser extent the level of the tide. It is being expanded over the next few years. It will extend further to the left of these turbines, further beyond and much further down to the southwest. This will double the current 116 turbines.

Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club catamaran crews race with the Rampion wind farm as a backdrop. The club meets most Sunday mornings in the summer months and can be seen having training sessions with a variety of small boat classes. As well as their club base on the beach at Bishopstone, they also have an inshore lakeside base at Piddinghoe, up the Sussex Ouse from Newhaven.

Madeira verfügt über mehrere Mesoklimata. Im Norden der Insel regnet es häufig, der Süden ist dagegen subtropisch warm. In the summer months, the island is influenced by the north-east trade wind, while in the winter months it lies in the westerly wind belt. The prevailing wind is from the northeast. It originates off the coast of Portugal and moves towards the Cape Verde Islands. This wind brings humidity and causes high waves on the north coast and often, especially in the morning, unsettled weather on the east side of the island. With a westerly wind direction, it can be sunny and dry in the east of the island, while rainy in the south and west.

The average daily maximum temperature varies from 19 degrees Celsius in January and February to 26 degrees Celsius in August and September.

Ingenious open irrigation systems, the levadas, carry water from the rainier north to the south, to the plantations and gardens.
