Gladding, McBean still exists. But their main products now are pipes for architecture. The Franciscan name was still being used as recently as 2013. Thanks, Wikipedia.

A server at a Wienerschnitzel forerunner, then at her brother Frederick's first shop, then assisting milliners and hairdressers. Ultimately, it was handsome dentist Dr. Magnin who discovered her. I had no idea there was so much blue candy in the world before I got to this penultimate spread in the booklet. (The last one shows a lackluster pink birthday cake, duly enrobed by at least six bags or cans of the titular product. Not worth it.)

I've never once looked at that June cake and thought Crown. It better suggests a plaster three-reel movie projector left by aliens.

I think that the eaglet evolved into a butterfly in the Sixties or Seventies version of the Baker's booklet, which suited this configuration much better.
