The Castle is one of the most iconic and photographed landmarks in Scotland. It sits dramatically on a small tidal island at the confluence of three sea lochs—Loch Duich, Loch Long, and Loch Alsh—near the village of Dornie in the western Scottish Highlands, along the main route toward the Isle of Skye.
The medieval castle was substantial, with a curtain wall, towers, and a keep. It played roles in clan feuds and Scottish history but was largely destroyed in 1719 during the Jacobite Rising.

The present structure is 20th-century reconstruction, which took 20 years and was completed in 1935,,,,,,,,, HWW! ,,,,,,, large view recommended

A moody sky hopefully adds atmosphere to this view of the bell tower across the small harbour at Port Logan, This is a small, picturesque coastal village in the Rhins of Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway, southwest Scotland,

The Bell Tower also called the Port Logan Lighthouse or Telford's Bell Tower is the most distinctive landmark in the small harbour, It served primarily as a daymark and bell tower to guide fishing boats safely into the harbour in poor visibility or bad weather — the bell would be rung to signal position or warn of hazards.
The Irish Sea, form the waters beyond they in turn are a part of the North Channel!

A somber sky and mood for this image of Bornesketaig Church, which is a ruined church on the Trotternish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
It sits in the Kilmuir area, visible from Kilmuir Cemetery. The ruins stand on a grassy slope above Camus Mor Bay, overlooking the sea—making it a handy navigational landmark for vessels in the past,
Built in 1810.
Still shown as intact on Ordnance Survey maps from 1903.
Recorded as a ruin by the 1961 map (it likely fell into disuse sometime in between, possibly around the 1920s when a new church opened nearby in Balgown).

It's a peaceful, scenic spot — less crowded than some other Scottish coastal towns — ideal for relaxing, boating, exploring Argyll's scenery, or as a base for whisky trails and island hopping. Often described as one of Scotland's most attractive wee harbours!

Ayr is a town situated on the southwest coast of Scotland. A former royal burgh, today it is the administrative centre of South Ayrshire Council, and the historic county town of Ayrshire. With a population of 46,982, Ayr is the 15th largest settlement in Scotland and second largest town in Ayrshire by population.

Davaar Island is a small tidal island located at the mouth of Campbeltown Loch, off the east coast of the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll and Bute, western Scotland. It's connected to the mainland by a natural shingle causeway called the Dhorlin, which is exposed at low tide, allowing visitors to walk across—typically taking around 30–40 minutes each way.

This is the river Eas Gobhain which joins with the Garbh Uisge under the A871 road Bridge at Callander the combined watercourses form the River Teith which in turn reaches the River Forth and eventually onward to the Firth of Forth.

Callander is a charming small town in Stirling council area, Scotland, beautifully situated on the River Teith. Often called the "Gateway to the Highlands", it marks the transition from the Lowlands to the dramatic landscapes of the north and serves as the eastern entrance to the stunning Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

This Bridge also carries National cycle route 7

The river is out of view but flows immediately below the trees and fence,
It forms at the confluence of two tributaries in Callander (within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park):The Eas Gobhain (from Loch Venachar)
The Garbh Uisge (also known as the River Leny, from Loch Lubnaig)

From there, it flows eastward approximately 36 miles (59 km) through towns like Callander, Doune, and Deanston, before joining the larger River Forth near Drip, northwest of Stirling, The river also supplies water to Deanston Distillery for whisky production.
