Car no. 64720 of Class 508 unit 508210 now stands alone at Eastleigh. It is reported elsewhere on Flickr that this vehicle, unlike the rest of the unit, is not to be scrapped but removed from the site.

The sad parade of Class 508 units at Eastleigh continues and yet another stood in a familiar spot today. Car no. 64720 of 508210 was nearest the camera. I would not normally include cones in a photograph but I think that they and the leaden sky serve to reinforce the rather desolate air of this scene as I intentionally post a second image of this unit as part of my relentless recording of the changing face of our railways.
