We anchored off Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island, near Brisbane, in Queensland, and went ashore. We had sailed to Tanglooma before, late 90s, in a small yacht, anchoring inside of the wrecks, so it was interesting to see how it caters for cruise ships. There is a long paved promenade leading to the main resort where there is plenty of space for everyone, bar, restaurants/cafes etc. Beyond this there is a lawn area, fronting the sandy beach, where you can walk to the Wrecks.

On Cruise Ship Carnival Adventure, in the Byron Beach Club. From Sydney to Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island, near Brisbane. Very enjoyable :-)

The Byron Beach Club, gives some advantages, including this more private place, priority embarkation/disembarkation, luggage priority, etc. We thought it was good value.
The ship was very busy, fully booked, vibrant with people of all ages, and nationalities.

Our favourite activity on a cruise is walking around the promenade deck 7. On Carnival Adventure, you can walk right round, although sometimes access fore and aft are gated if the sea is choppy.
