Auch in diesem Frühjahr konnte ich Scharen dieses winzig kleinen grünlichen Schmetterlings mit enorm langen Fühlern in lichten Wäldern und an Heckensäumen beobachten. Es handelt sich um Männchen der Grünen Langhornmotte (Adela reaumurella). Näheres zur Biologie findet sich im angegebenen Wikipedia-Artikel.

This spring, too, I was able to observe swarms of this tiny, greenish butterfly with incredibly long antennae in sparse woodland and along hedgerows. These are males of the Green Longhorn Moth (Adela reaumurella). Further details on its biology can be found in the Wikipedia article provided.with incredibly long antennae

Pollarding is a pruning system involving the removal of the upper branches of a tree, which promotes the growth of a dense head of foliage and branches. I have never seen it on trees whose branches have been trained around circular wiring like this.

Zur Zeit kann man sie mit etwas Glück entdecken, die kleinen Grünen Zipfelfalter, auch Brombeer-Zipfelfalter genannt. Ihr offizieller Artname ist Callophrys rubi. Man sieht sie deswegen so selten, weil ohre Oberseite braun gefärbt ist und die Unterseite smaragdgrün. Im Flug sind sie nur schwer zu erkennen und wenn sie sich ins Gras setzen, klappen sie die Flügel zusammen und zeigen die grüne Unterseite. Raffiniert! Die Aufnahme entstand in einem fräkischen Schutzgebiet.

At the moment, with a bit of luck, you might spot the little green skippers, also known as blackberry skippers. Their official scientific name is Callophrys rubi. They are rarely seen because their upper side is brown and their underside is emerald green. They are difficult to spot in flight, and when they land in the gras, they fold their wings together, revealing their green undersides. Clever! The photograph was taken in a nature reserve in Franconia.

Zur Zeit sieht man gelegentlich in Blüten des Löwenzahns den Trauer-Rosenkäfer (Oxythyrea funesta). Er ist ein Verwandter des Goldglänzenden Rosenkäfers (Cetonia aurata), siehe PiP1 und des Zottigen Rosenkäfers (Tropinota hirta), siehe PiP2.
