Well, actually, 850nm would be the next level -- here I jump to a 950nm filter, on an ancient 24mm f2.8 Nikkor on the 720nm adapted Fuji X-E2. The filter allows a 720nm camera to dive deeper into infrared while still being hand-holdable. The difference between 720nm and 950nm is about that of going from a yellow to a deep red filter in conventional black-and-white.

A body of water called Federal Creek, about two miles from my house. It was dark -- I'm stunned that the Fuji X-Pro1 was able to produce an OOC jpeg that is much brighter than the scene itself -- and heavy snow was beginning. I took another way around -- and those two miles took me more than two hours to traverse.

The unknown, possibly froghopper, nymph in the spittle nest. This was taken with the 150mm Schneider Componon-S on an old Novoflex bellows, at f5.6 because f5.6 is all the lens has. And yes, I used a tripod.
