In 50 AD, the Romans founded "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium", the city then became the provincial capital of "Germania Inferior".<br /> <br /> From wherever you´ll approach Cologne, first you will see are the elegant towers of the Cologne Cathedral "(Kölner Dom").
