➽ Es war a bisserl wie Urlaub daheim - leckeres türkisches Essen, çay oder/und Raki gratis vom Wirt, türkische Musik und Unterhaltungen, der Verkehrslärm fast wie in Istanbul und ein Poster im Hinterhof mit Blick von der Ortaköy-Moschee über den Bosporus.

Jetzt ist alles wieder geschlossen, die Tische zusammen geschoben, die Zukunft ungewiss...
Ich drücke den Gastronomen und allen, die dieser neue Lockdown besonders trifft, die Daumen, dass sie auch diesmal durchhalten - und an alle:
Bleibts xund und optimistisch!

➽ It was a bit like vacation at home - delicious Turkish food, çay or/and raki for free from the host, Turkish music and conversations, the traffic noise almost like in Istanbul and a poster in the back yard with a view of the Ortaköy Mosque over the Bosphorus.

Now everything is closed again, the tables pushed together, the future uncertain ...
I keep my fingers crossed for the restaurateurs and everyone who is particularly affected by this new lockdown that they will hold out again - and to everyone:

➽ Rothenburg ob der Tauber ist eine mittelfränkische Kleinstadt im Landkreis Ansbach in Bayern.
Mit der weitgehend erhaltenen mittelalterlichen Altstadt ist die Große Kreisstadt Rothenburg eine weltbekannte Sehenswürdigkeit mit vielen Baudenkmälern und Kulturgütern. Herausragend an der Altstadt ist, dass sie sehr ursprünglich wirkt, da trotz der Kriegszerstörungen von 1945 und des schlichten, unauffälligen Wiederaufbaus praktisch keine modernistischen Brüche erkennbar sind. Der historische Stadtkern ist von einer begehbaren Stadtbefestigung umgeben und in die weitgehend unverbaute Landschaft des Flusstals der Tauber eingebettet.

➽ Rothenburg ob der Tauber (engl.) is a small Middle Franconian town in the Ansbach district in Bavaria.
With the largely preserved medieval old town, the large district town of Rothenburg is a world-famous sight with many architectural monuments and cultural assets. What is outstanding about the old town is that it looks very original, because despite the war destruction of 1945 and the simple, inconspicuous reconstruction, practically no modernist breaks are discernible. The historic city center is surrounded by a walkable city fortification and embedded in the largely undeveloped landscape of the river valley of the Tauber.
