My annual Fall Tree picture. When the leaves turn each Autumn on this tree, which is on the other side of town from where I live and on the same road, I photograph this particular tree. I’ve been doing it since the 1970s.

It had been cloudy and overcast, and raining off an on for about a week, but the sun finally came out, so I finally got to photograph this tree in sunshine.

Lens: Konica Hexanon AR 50mm, f/1.7
Film: Super G 400 (rebranded Konica VX400, long expired and shot @12 ISO, 5 stops under)
Program: Manual (no battery)
Aperture: F/5.6
Shutter Speed: 1/30th of a sec.
Date: October 30th, 2025, 11.53 a.m.

Developing Chemicals: Unicolor C-41
Water pre-soak: 1 minute at 102 degrees
Developer: 3 mins. and 30 secs. at 102 degrees
Water rinse: 2 minutes (to keep chemicals clean)
Blix: 6 ½ minutes at 102 degrees
Water rinse: 2 minutes at approx. 100 degrees
Stabilizer: 1 minute at room temperature
Water rinse: 2 minutes
Kodak Photo-Flo 200: 1 minute

My annual Fall tree taken on November 1st, 2002. This was the first year that I used more than one camera to take the picture. I had borrowed my sister's digital camera, a Fuji Film Finepix 1300. It was state of the art for the day, but really low quality when you look at the results.
