One of the displays is a "village garage" of the sort where the mechanic sorts out all kinds of problems.
{I did take two images, but they turned out to be not in focus and badly blurred}
The accompanying audio is a lady asking if their lawnmower is fixed ...
I think she is referring to this monster mower, it looks like someone had attempted to modify or copy an ATCO "Standard" lawnmower ...

Electric cars aren't a new concept.
This is a 1972 Crompton Leyland "Electricar" - sadly, this was just a prototype, achieving a low weight with the available battery technology & materials were incompatible aims at the time ... although milk floats [etc] had been produced for many years, for these vehicles weight and high speed were lesser considerations.

By the size I would call this a shopping basket on wheels - a bit like the FIAT126 my mother had at around that time [spookily, it's even a similar colour]

It cost £135 to buy new and the 2-cylinder JAP 990 cc engine produced 42bph. It could do 80mph ...

As a celebration, all the employees at Longbridge signed the car. The last signature was Leonard Lord, the Managing Director, which can be seen on top of the bonnet.
{Cars 999,999 and 1,000,001 were raffled to the Austin workforce and the signed car was preserved for publicity display.

I presume that the car would have been finished in a matt white finish and the present colour is the result of the protective varnish turning yellow - a feature of tung oil and similar varnishes.

This very unusual vehicle is a Wolseley tri-car, built in 1896 by H.Austin & H.H.Mulliner.

It wasn't successful and Austin concentrated on his other tri-car design, completed in Dec 1896.
