A small child, surprised at our sudden appearance, asked, "Where are you from"? I answered San Francisco da California---She responded with a child's innocence, "You mean there is another São Francisco?"&lt;br /&gt;

Iate Keramos e nossos amigos da Iate Summer Run partiu da Ilha de Itaparica na Bahia de Todos os Santos até o Rio Paraguaçu para a pequena aldeia de São Francisco do Paraguaçu no outro lado do rio a partir do Convento do Paraguaçu. Uma criança pequena, surpreso com a nossa aparência repentina, perguntou, "De onde você é?" Eu respondi, San Francisco da California --- Ela respondeu com inocência de uma criança, "Existe uma outra São Francisco?"&lt;br /&gt;

Eu estava no Rio de Janeiro para o Carnaval 1983. A rainha e princesas do Bloco Cacique de Ramos posou para mim. Elas me perguntaram, "Oi Américano, você tem sangue tropical?"    Eu respondi, "Está ficando mais quente a cada minuto!"&lt;br /&gt;
