I think most of the fancier labels got grabbed first, but my finds were inexpensive and in very good shape. So I don't mind.&lt;br /&gt;

I believe it's Californian and from the 1950s based on info from &lt;a href="https://thelabelman.com/products/limestone-brand-vintage-bakersfield-california-vegetable-crate-label-smaller" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;this collector/seller&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But the owner, Vahlsing, also operated in Maine and I guess landed himself in some &lt;a href="https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/b41421bf2bd742cc99c9570bb98555b8" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;very hot water&lt;/a&gt; in the 1970s. You never know what you'll learn on a name search!&lt;br /&gt;
