As the camera zoomed out to show the surrounding area it dawned on me that I recognised the exact spot that the nest box was situated. The lucky part of this tale is that we were going to that area of Wales for our summer holiday! Chough is a bird that I had not seen before and I was up for the challenge, reached the nest box site and found it with ease, I sat for a while hoping to see if the Choughs were still in the area . Unfortunately not, I set off walking further along the coastal path when suddenly I heard a corvid like call, I spotted two black shapes soaring on the horizon. I raised my binoculars and was overjoyed at the sight of a pair of Choughs, they came closer and my thoughts was to grab my camera.
