The real point of this composition is to include the semaphore signal but the line-up is attractive as well. Class 47 D1705 'Sparrowhawk' stands with one of two Class 45 'Peaks' 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment' whilst the other, D123, is visible in the distance. Also visible is Class 10 10119.

1937 Beavertail Observation Car E1719E at Loughborough in a line up which includes Class 45 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment', Class 47 D1705 'Sparrowhawk', Class 27 5401 and Deltic D9016 'Gordon Highlander'.

The quality and variety of preserved locomotives on the Great Central Railway is a delight. In this view at Loughborough are (from left) Class 45 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment', Class 47 D1705 'Sparrowhawk', Class 27 5401 and Deltic D9016 'Gordon Highlander'.

This is the scene which greeted me at platform level at Loughborough Central, Great Central Railway. In shot (from camera) are Class 33 D6535, Deltic D9016 'Gordon Highlander', Class 27 5401, Class 47 D1705 'Sparrowhawk' and Class 45 45041 'Royal Tank Regiment'. In the distance, on the left is another Class 45 D123.
