Dwayne Dopsie´s father was "Rockin' Dopsie", a leading Zydeco musician and accordion player for decades. Zydeco seems to be a family business, as two of Dwayne´s brothers run a band called "Rockin' Dopsie, Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters", while he performs great with the Zydeco Hellraisers. They were a fantastic surprise for me - and did a great performance that evening.

The audience is calling for an encore..

Unfortunately the Hellraisers did run out of CDs in Cahors. The audience was so enthusiastic, that the stock was too small.

The washboard (aka "frottoir") is a percussion instrument, the is often used in zydeco music. Here the percussionist wears a "vest frottoir" over his shoulders.
