The sadness in those eyes brought only one thing to me "release me". I guess an area for orphaned lambs as there was not a crowd of lambs here. I walked the farm as the others had a hot sweet coffee one thing I am not is sweet coffee.

Its school holidays but I am still working flat out trying to fix as much as I can while there are is no one at school BUT ME. It was a case of checking the school to try and make it safe from the after effects of the impending cyclone up north and it after effects.

You wonder why I was missing this week for HFF. I was building a fence myself.

We had to take out this fence and a new base was put down over the whole ground that was 2 weeks ago. This Thursday and Friday all day was rebuild the whole lot. We had to contend with a very different sloping surface for drainage, bricks not plum, level or matching the one below and that inside the concrete was iron reinforcing mesh add to that this was 35c for the two days in this closed spot. Some 30 holes had to be drilled into the concrete we struck the reinforcing mesh in 10 of those hole.

It was our suggestion keep the glass fence dont buy a new fence we will put it up. the glass is very heavy and not at all safe to pick up with sweaty hand. Rest day last day of 2022.

The ones that were chosen for the Astro Fest Exhibit where invited to the Perth Observatory to listen to a few talks.

First was the organizer of the Astrofest then a few words from the winner. We all then got to talk how we would like to see astrofest How we though it could be improved what we would like to see back from the Judges.

At the end of the night I kicked myself for not bring up my 14mm lens and Tripod the stars where just perfect.

As a side note to all those of HFF Erika has to step down to look after her husband I myself have a brother in law just hanging on with bone marrow cancer. We all have our trials and things that take our time please give a thought to just what that means for even you.

We have Removed two bins 2m x 2m x 5m as you see here by the looks we are staring at two more. Has not been an easy task to throw away a whole life time like it does no matter Cause it does. As I have only a suitcase and camera bag my take home is very small but a life time of family life is pack in a small bottle of sand I made for my mother.

My mother is in a good place but has a memory of 5 seconds. We go there but have to have a mask on so she does not recognize us till we remove our mask and in total shock.

The blue sky has has been replaced with clouds and rains. We are keeping to our selves so we remain covid free for our trip home on the 31st.

This is our new back fence (yes there is a fence under all those leaves) as yet I have not found out what plant this is. It grabs hold of anything close to cling to and climb over. even our plants we put too close after 2 weeks the tendrils had found the plants and was trying to climb over them all. this vine is the extreme foreground of the shot of the Kookaburra.

I took a small piece to the local nursery we where able to identify it as we found some there for sale.

The Plant is Pyrostegia Venusta orange Trumpet vine.

Another of these country cottages. This one was packed with Roses and there scent was very strong in the sunlight.

This week was a close call I have been unable to get on to Ipernity at all. I got a message to Erika but I did manage to work out my Web Browser Firefox did not want to work. Back on Chrome and the multitude of ADDS.

I was pruning the plant and walked around the back and was so taken with the sun lit leaves. was well worth a photo this is the main stock plant that use to cover a huge fence. We changed our minds so thought rather than totally ditch the plant in the bin.... what if. here it is nearly 5 years on.

the over view is west to Perth but you will never see it bellow those footy hills. you may wonder why I would ever go there 24 km on a dirt road . look below. Mt Dale use to be the fire watch tower for all the country side as it a high point with a commanding view of the whole surrounding area. comes in handy at night as well. 32° 7'35.18"S 116°17'58.36"E

This is a large glass table I clean every two weeks BUT I keep forgetting to take a camera so here is the phone, HFF. The steel fence is Beige. The glass is a very dark colour has quite a lot of ripples in it and as you can see a few scratches bottom of the photo.

The one time I kicked my self for not taking a longer lens on the bus trip. "I will not be seeing any birds" 120mm is just not long enough but what a colour statement, moral of the story never say never..
