A winter hiking trail of a special kind: the art trail from Schönjoch (2,435 m) in the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area (Tyrol, Austria) over the ridge to the top station of the Schöngampbahn. Along the way you will encounter a series of sculptures by renowned artists.

Ein Winterwanderweg besonderer Art: Der Kunstweg vom Schönjoch (2.435 m) im Skigebiet Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis (Tirol, Österreich) über den Grat bis zur Bergstation der Schöngampbahn. Unterwegs begegnet man einer Reihe von Skulpturen namhafter Künstler.

The mighty sculpture of a bearded vulture on the Masnerkopf (Tyrol, Austria) at an altitude of 2,828 meters. It was created by the Serfaus artist Walter File in original size (almost 3 meters wingspan).

Four years ago, during a mountain tour in Montafon, we were lucky enough to see this largest bird in the Alps in the flesh (see below).

Die mächtige Skulptur eines Bartgeiers auf dem Masnerkopf (Tirol, Östrreich) auf 2.828 Metern Höhe. Sie wurde von dem Serfauser Künstlers Walter File in Originalgröße (fast 3 Meter Flügelspannweite) geschaffen.

Vor vier Jahren hatten wir bei einer Bergtour im Montafon das Glück, diesen größten Vogel der Alpen in natura zu sehen:
