The adventurous historic stand-up gondola cable car (established in 1960), which leads up to the Toni-Demez hut at 2,685 metres above sea level.

Only 2 people fit in one gondola. The door is locked from the outside!

In eine Gondel passen nur 2 Personen. Die Tür wird von außen verschlossen!

After the ascent, there is a stretch over a ridge of boulders. You get used to the feeling of going down a few hundred metres to the right and left over time (at least a little).

Nach dem Aufstieg geht es eine Strecke über einen Grat aus Felsblöcken. An das Gefühl, das man hat, wenn es rechts und links einige hundert Meter runter geht, gewöhnt man sich mit der Zeit (wenigstens etwas).

Here is the ridge in a wide-angle shot. It is very easy to walk. Nevertheless, there is always an oppressive feeling.

Hier der Grat in einer Weitwinkelaufnahme. Zu gehen ist er kinderleicht. Trotzdem ist immer ein beklemmendes Gefühl da.

A new helmet is due every few years. This one weighs only 174 g with comprehensive protection (test report). (Photographed at the start of the Vaude-Schmugglersteig via ferrata near Gargellen (Montafon, Austria). There are 300 metres of climbing to conquer).

Alle paar Jahre ist ein neuer Helm fällig. Dieser hier wiegt bei umfassenden Schutz nur 174 g (Testbericht). (Aufgenommen am Einstieg in den Klettersteig Vaude-Schmugglersteig bei Gargellen (Montafon, Österreich). Zu bewältigen sind 300 Klettermeter.)
