Captured at Jack's Drove, on the Somerset Levels posted for a HFF image.
I am making changes this week as this one is closer to home and it is only a reflection of a fence, but I loved the colours and to me the bits in the water looked like a sprinkling of stardust.

Taken at Steart in Somerset on a bleak afternoon with threatening skies above adding to the atmosphere. I loved the way the curved wall just seems to end, - but please be polite and use the gate!!! The track leads to the fence on the horizon, beyond which are the sea defences. The shapes of the trees are testament to how they are exposed to the elements on this flat open ground.

Taken from the Dunvegan road on the Isle of Skye, with views across to North Uist. On the left the headland is Dunvegan Head and the water is Loch Dunvegan. This stretch of water is know as The Minch

The sign on the gate at the top of the road says Point Piper, and I have added a song by Crispian St Peters called 'Pied Piper'

Taken at Watchet., West Somerset.

Beyond the fence lies Watchet railway station. In 1862 this was the terminus for the West Somerset Railway line and it is the longest Heritage Railway in England.

The harbour town of Watchet is over 1000 years old and the harbour is now a marina.

I have no idea what the hedgerow flower is but I thought it was pretty.

The Rib at Wells is a former canonical detached early 15th Century dwelling and is a grade II listed building beacause of its architectural and also it's historical importance as a surviving purpose built canonical house for Wells Cathedral. Originally one of three houses known as the Bishop's Ribs it is the only one to survive and was built using local sandstone. It incorporates a porch built for Canon Walter Osborne between 1464 -1484, that bears the initials W and O.

It was the childhood home of the acclaimed Edwardian novelist Elizabeth Goudge whose father was a vice principal of the theological college but is now in private ownership.

Elizabeth referred to the Rib as the house with the cathedral in the back garden.

Looking out over the Bristol Channel with Hinkley Point power stations A - C in the distance, The A station reactors have been decommissioned, B station is still active and the building of C station is well underway. All that money and power - but the glory is all natural with this golden sunset.
