Popped over to Hayling Island yesterday after the rain stopped and had a play with my filters. The waves were breaking quite high over the groynes and a long exposure gave them a really misty, milky look!

Whilst I was waiting to shoot a sunset the other evening, I thought I'd get a few snapshots of what used to be the railway line that ran between Havant and Hayling line.....and the road bridge which is now the only link with the mainland.

Taken from the Hayling Billy line looking towards the road bridge. This is all that is left of the old railway signal.

Whilst I was waiting to shoot a sunset the other evening, I thought I'd get a few snapshots of what used to be the railway line that ran between Havant and Hayling Island.....and the road bridge which is now the only link with the mainland.

These concrete blocks are all that remains of the old wooden railway bridge. The rusty metal structures in the middle of the bridge are the remains of the swing bridge, which used to open to let boats in and out.

Looking back towards the mainland from the old railway signal across the remains of the old railway bridge.

Sunset tonight was totally different from last nights - and only lasted about 5 mins before the sun dipped below the dark clouds on the horizon......and that was it!
