 this is Loch Surdale, Dunvegan, Isle of Skye,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hoping to be back out with the camera in the next few days for fresh images,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Loch Surdale is a small freshwater loch located near the village of Dunvegan on the northwest coast of the Isle of Skye, Scotland.It is situated close to Dunvegan Castle and flows into the larger sea loch, Loch Dunvegan , which is a prominent saltwater inlet on Skye's west coast. &lt;br /&gt;

The area is part of the Lowther Hills, known for its dramatic hilly landscapes, passes, and rural beauty,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Note the trees sheltering the cottage from the cold winter winds that blow up through the pass!&lt;br /&gt;

This is at the northern extreme of the Somerset Levels and Moors which have long been shaped both by human history and natural processes, they have an area of about 160,000 acres (650 km2)&lt;br /&gt;
They consist 0f a flat landscape extending across parts of the north and centre of the historical county of Somerset,,,,, Rhyne is a somerset spelling !!&lt;br /&gt;

The A702 road can be seen cutting across the image (note 1) with The Carron Water which rises close this point and is a tributary of the River Nith, (Note 2)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
One field has a well maintained stone wall, while sheep graze the lush pastures!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A large view is better both for detail and clarity, HWW !&lt;br /&gt;

The A702 road can be seen cutting across the image (note 1) with The Carron Water which rises close this point and is a tributary of the River Nith, (Note 2)&lt;br /&gt;

One field has a well maintained stone wall, while sheep graze the lush pastures!&lt;br /&gt;
