View from the corridor between the Kaindl-Stewart-Tower (right-hand) and the Karlspitze (left-hand) to the Kitzbühel Alps. Down in the valley you see the villages Going and Ellmau (the "Bergdoktordorf"). Directly underneath the corridor, half way down, lies the alpin hut Gruttenhütte with their red parasols. This hut is a central starting point for many hiking tours within the Kaiser Mountains (Tyrol, Austria).

Blick aus der Scharte zwischen dem Kaindl-Stewart-Turm (rechts) und der Karlspitze (links) auf die Kitzbüheler Alpen. Im Tal die Orte Going und Ellmau (das "Bergdoktordorf"). Direkt unterhalb der Scharte, auf halbem Weg ins Tal, liegt die Gruttenhütte mit ihren roten Sonnenschirmen. Diese Hütte ist ein zentraler Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen im Kaisergebirge (Tirol, Österreich).

An easy, but for all that very alpine route from the Wochenbrunner Alm (at the southern side of the Kaiser Mountains, Tyrol, Austria). It leads via the Kopftörl (2.059m) to the Stripsenjochhaus.
The picture (taken by my friend L. Pott) shows the crossing of the gap between the cliff of the Karlspitze (2.260m) and the Kaindl-Stewart-Tower, which has an altitude of 20 meters. This route is one of only four possibilities to cross the Kaiser Mountains.

Eine leichte, vom Ambiente aber sehr hochalpine Route, die von der Wochenbrunner Alm (an der Südflanke des Wilden Kaisers in Tirol, Österreich) über das Kopftörl (2.059m) zum Stripsenjochhaus führt.
Im Bild ist die Durchquerung des Spalts zu sehen, der von der Felswand der Karlspitze (2.260m) und dem frei davor stehenden 20 m hohen Kaindl-Stewart-Turm gebildet wird. Diese Route ist eine der nur vier Möglichkeiten, das Kaisergebirge zu queren.

View from Oberhollenau (submontane of Astberg, Tyrol, Austria). The prominent lane right-hand is called 'Ellmauer Tor'. It's a popular ski touring goal. The summit to the left of it is the 'Karlspitze' (2.260m). In the center of the picture you see the 'Ellmauer Halt' (2.344m), which is the highest summit of the Kaiser Mountains.

Blick von der Oberhollenau (südlich des Kaisergebirges, auf dem Weg zum Astberg, Tirol). Die markante Schneise rechts im Bild ist das Ellmauer Tor, einem beliebten Ziel für Tourenski-Geher. Links davon die Karlspitze (2.260m). In der Bildmitte der Ellmauer Halt (2.344m, höchster Gipel des Kaisergebirges).
