Though the ticket for this skiing season is valid until may, the passion is flown away. Today we terminated the season at that place, where it had begun - together with my son, who captured this picture.

Die Saisonkarte ist zwar noch bis zum Mai gültig, aber nach 4 Monaten Skisaison ist "die Luft raus". Zum Abschluss waren wir heute mit meinem Sohn, der gerade zu Besuch ist, noch einmal dort, wo der Winter für uns begann:

The chair lift "Sonnenkarbahn" (Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn, Austria) transports up to 3,000 persons/hour from 2,414 to 2,673 m of altitude. It's a breezy adventure!

Der 6er Sessellift "Sonnenkarbahn" (Kaprun, Kitzsteinhorn) befördert bis zu 3.000 Personen/Stunde von 2.414 auf 2.673 m Seehöhe. Ein sehr luftiges Vergnügen!

The cable car, which leads from the valley station in Kaprun (Austria) up to the glacier. There is no other way to the glacier.

Die Gondelbahn, die von der Talstation in Kaprun zum Gletscher hoch fährt. Eine andere Möglichkeit hochzukommen gibt es nicht.

Ascending to the Kitzsteinhorn without those red cable cars is impossible in wintertime. The difference of altitude is nearly 2.200 meters, and there is no way throught the dangerous cliffs.

Das Kitzsteinhorn erreicht man im Winter ausschließlich mit der roten Gondelbahn. Es gibt keine sichere Tourenskiroute, mit der man die fast 2.200 Höhenmeter durch das hochalpine Gelände bewältigen könnte.
