Ein nebliger Sonntag im hohen Norden von Deutschlands nördlichster Insel, Sylt. Der Rettungskreuzer "Minden" der DGzRS ist gerade eben auszumachen.

Misty Sunday in the very north of Germany's northernmost island of Sylt. Lifeboat "Minden" is barely visible.

Took this shot on the night before the opening of our summer fair, "Hamburger Dom" on Heiligengeistfeld (Holy Ghost Field), Hamburg. This is a traditional event organised by some Hamburg-based Flickrites. It was my first time, though, and due to circumstances I was only carrying my little G12 and didn't have a tripod with me either. Luckily there was some kind of banister here to rest my camera on.

Seals and birds are resting on a sandbank between Dagebüll and the island of Föhr. On board the ferry: 30 teenagers and two teachers from Hamburg, looking forward to a sunny week on the isle.

It's spring at Lake Krupunder - men are behaving like little boys playing with their model sailboats. This one is a lovely example, its yellow sails make for a colourful spot on the water, almost like a brimstone butterfly.

Seen in the square, Lyme Regis, Dorset. The shape was chosen to emphasize the town's importance as a centre of the "Jurassic Coast", it resembles the thousands of ammonites that have been (and still can be) found there, especially on Monmouth Beach to the west of the Cobb, and on the beach under Black Ven, between Lyme and Charmouth.
