Purple Viper's-Bugloss (Echium plantagineum), seen in Benchijigua, a nature park in the center of La Gomera (Canary Islands), where it burned extensively in 2012. Then plants like this have ideal propagation conditions.

Wegerichblättriger Natternkopf (Echium plantagineum), gesehen in Benchijigua, einem Naturpark im Zentrum von La Gomera (Kanarische Inseln), wo es 2012 großflächig gebrannt hat. Danach haben Pflanzen wie diese ideale Ausbreitungsbedingungen.

Real full moon was one night before (May 21st, 2016), but it was too stormy to take this photo with the little dragon tree in the foreground at that night. Therefore I went again to the Punta de Juan Daza (La Gomera, Canary Islands) at the next evening and had more luck. It was windless enough. Nevertheless longer exposure Times weren't possible. So unfortunately I had to work with a high ISO (photo taken at 9:54 p.m.).

Der eigentliche Vollmond war in der Nacht davor, aber es war zu stürmisch, um dieses Bild mit dem kleinen Drachenbaum im Vordergrund aufzunehmen. Deshalb ging ich am nächsten Abend nochmals auf die Punta de Juan Daza (La Gomera, Kanarische Inseln) und hatte mehr Glück. Es war windstill genug. Trotzdem waren keine wirklich langen Belichtungszeiten möglich. Ein Hochdrehen des ISO-Werts auf 2000 ließ sich nicht umgehen (Aufnahmezeitpunkt: 21:54 Uhr).

Soweit ich mich auskenne, ein "Echinocactus grusonii", auch "Schwiegermutterstuhl" genannt.

Typical flora at the eastern coast of La Gomera within the 500m dry region. The plant grows up to 50-80 cm of heigth.

Typischer Bewuchs an der Ostküste La Gomeras auf ca. 500m Seehöhe in der Trockenregion. Die Pflanze wird ca. 50-80 cm hoch.
