The via ferrata Pfeilspitzwand rises steeply above the valley floor. Below you can see the hikers' car park, the river Ziller and the road leading to Mayrhofen. Hard to make out are the tracks of the Zillertal Railway right next to the car road.

In the older pictures from 2017, the railway is better visible (see below)

Die Pfeilspitzwand erhebt sich steil über dem Talgrund. Unten sieht man den Wanderparkplatz, den Fluss Ziller und die Straße, die nach Mayrhofen führt. Schwer zu erkennen sind die Gleise der Zillertalbahn direkt neben der Autostraße.

Auf den älteren Bildern aus 2017 ist die Bahn besser zu erkennen:

After 12 years with a total of 360 adventures in 150 via ferrata routes, a milestone was celebrated on October 1, 2023: 100,000 metres of climbing! The same distance won't happen again in this lifetime. But the end is still a long way off.

The picture was taken on the Via Ferrata Pfeilspitzwand (250 metres of climbing, difficulty 'C/D') in the Zillertal (Tyrol, Austria). My wife and a friend accompanied me.

Nach inzwischen 12 Jahren mit insgesamt 360 Touren in 150 Klettersteigen stand am 1. Oktober 2023 die Feier eines Meilensteins an: 100.000 Klettermeter! Noch mal dieselbe Distanz wird sich in diesem Leben nicht mehr ausgehen. Aber Schluss ist längst noch nicht.

Das Bild entstand im Klettersteig Pfeilspitzwand (250 Klettermeter, Schwierigkeit 'C/D') im Zillertal (Tirol, Österreich). Begleitet haben mich meine Frau und ein Freund.

One of our favourite tours for training: The fixed rope route Pfeilspitzwand-Klettersteig in the Zillertal (Tyrol, Austria), combined with the upper Astegg-Klettersteig. The total of 540 metres of climbing in difficulty C/D are exactly to our liking in the most beautiful nature.

Bilberries (Vaccinium myrtillus, European blueberry) at high altitude. There they only ripen when the leaves are already red. I found these beautiful specimens at the end of September at the high alpine pasture "Klein Tibet im Zillergründl (1.880 m, Tyrol. Austria)

Heidelbeeren (Vaccinium myrtillus, Europäische Heidelbeere) in großer Höhe. Dort reifen sie erst, wenn das Laub schon rot wird. Diese schönen Exemplare habe ich Ende September an der Hochalm "Klein Tibet im Zillergründl (1.880 m, Tirol. Österreich) gefunden.
