Indycaver (Norm) has posted:

Who knew Mary Tyler Moore was a car buff? :-)

Formerly part of the Mary Tyler Moore collection, this charming Ford Model A coach was originally built to service the Lake George tourist area in upstate New York. Based on a 1931 Ford chassis, the car was fitted with a Buick V-6 engine and an automatic transmission for reliability, and independent front suspension, Chevrolet rear end and leaf suspension with air shocks for a modern, comfortable ride.

The 1931 Ford cowl, front end and fenders were refurbished and painted in a traditional two-tone Green and Black color scheme, while the Ford wire wheels are finished in complimentary Pastel Yellow- a great look when combined with the period-correct wide whitewall tires. The golden-blond custom-built coach body is constructed entirely of wood and features wraparound bench seating, covered in rich Brown leather, that will accommodate up to ten passengers in comfort.

This unique and fascinating vehicle comes with its original 1984 title and registration in the name of Mary Tyler Moore, who has also kindly autographed the dashboard.
