7th method: Like ants. (Captured while climbing to the summit of Großglockner (3,798m, Carinthia/Tyrol, Austria). Coming from the left you have to climb ~50 ft. steply sloping into a notch, before you may conquer the summit of the highest mountain of Austria - only with climbing irons, of course. At this mountain is always all hell let loose.

7te Methode: Wie die Ameisen. (Aufgenommen bei einer Besteigung des Großglockner (3.798m, Kärnten/Tirol, Österreich). Von links kommend muss man zumächst über den Gipfel des Kleinglockner, dann noch mal 17m steil runter in die Obere Glocknerscharte, bevor man zum Hauptgipfel auffi kraxeln kann - natürlich nur mit Steigeisen. Obwohl es Ende der Saison war, war noch reichlich Andrang.)

My wife sliding down the scree fan of Croda Pomagnon, which is stretching down south-east from the summit of the Dimai (2.310m, Dolomiti, Italy). This trail is the official descent from the Via ferrata Michielli Albino Strobel. Going down the "normal" way will result in endless ordeals.

Meine Frau beim Schottersurfen im Schuttkar Croda Pomagnon, welches sich südöstlich vom Gipfel des Dimai (2.310m, Dolomiti, Italy) erstreckt. Diese Route ist der offizielle Abstieg vom Klettersteig Via ferrata Michielli Albino Strobel. Wenn man hier "normal" runtergeht, wird das eine endlose und grausame Tortur.

Entering the Zugspitze from the Austrian side, you will not simlpy arrive in Germany, but in the Free State of Bavaria. (Bavaria is of course a part of the Federal Republic of Germany. But a very special one - with it's own dialect and own traditions. With this knowledge in mind, the danger notice has some double entendre: "Be carefully! Alpine Terrain. Descent for mountaineers only. Danger of falling.")

Wenn man die Zugspitze von der österreichischen Seite her betritt, kommt man an dieser Treppe vorbei, die ins offene Gelände hinunter führt. Man mag schmunzeln ob der Doppeldeutigkeit der beiden Schilder nebenbeinander.

View from the highest point of the Watzmann mountain mass, the Mittelspitze (2.713m) across the ridge to the most southern summit, the Südspitze (2.712m). The distance is approx. 2 kilometers. It will take one and a half hours to cross it, climbing up and down all the time.
