Desert doesn't alway mean a lot of sand. It also might consist of stones until the horizon.

Wüste muss nicht immer aus Sand bestehen. In Marokko gibt es auch Steinwüsten bis zum Horizont.

There isn't any fence in the desert. But dromedarys have the bad habit to walk kilometres away, looking for food. Therefore their legs are fettered a little bit while camping.

In der Wüste gibt es keine Zäune. Aber Dromedare haben die Angewohnheit, sich auf der Suche nach Fressbarem kilometerweit vom Lager zu entfernen. Deshalb werden ihre Vorderbeine abends zusammengebunden.

I didn'd really investigate, whether the sandsturm, which masked the sun that morning, had been blastering over Zagora (Southern Morocco). But while capturing this sun rise over the Chiemsee (Bavaria, Germany) I remembered a desert tour on dromedars in South Morocco, where I experienced a sandstorm life.

Ob der Sandsturm, der an jenem Morgen die Sonne verschleierte, über Zagora (südliches Marokko) tobte, hab ich nicht recherchiert. Aber beim Fotografieren dieses Sonnenaufgangs am Chiemsee (Bayern) hab ich an eine Wüstentour in der Gegend denken müssen, wo ich einen Sandsturm life erlebte.

Blind trust in the knowledge of the Berbers and their dromedars while a sandstorm.
(Captured with Lumix DMC-FX07 out of an underwater box. Nevertheless the camera had to be repaired afterwards. Dust particles of the Sahara are getting everywhere!)

Blindes Vertrauen in die Berber und ihre Dromedare während eines Sandsturmes.
(Fotografiert mit einer Lumix DMC-FX07 aus einem Unterwassergehäuse heraus. Nach dieser Expedition musste die Kamera dennoch zur Reparatur. Saharastaub kommt überall hin!)
