Holiday Inn Express, Evanston, Wyoming

This was the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at in Evanston, Wyoming back on February 8th, 2008.

I was bringing my brother's wife to stay with me for a year while he was overseas in the Air Force. It was a long ardurous journey to reach this place due to a blizzard that shut down the interstate in Nebraska. But, by taking the "scenic route," we finally made it.

This was the Ramada Inn I stayed at in North Platte, Nebraska back on February 9th, 2008.

The Shawnee Chief motel located in Shawneetown, Illinois. The Shawnee Indians were a tribe that lived here in Southern Illinois. Although this is located in Shawneetown, it's actually what should be called "New Shawneetown." Old Shawneetown, (what was the original Shawneetown, is located a few miles down the road from here. But the old Shawneetown was built on the banks of the Ohio River and it flooded a lot. Some residents chose to move further away and start this new version of their town. But some residents chose to stay and that's why there is still the original settlement with people living by the banks of the river.

Nashville Econo Lodge

Back in 2015, I was touring with a band and we were booked to play a big Fourth of July celebration in Nashville, Tennessee. We were opening for Foghat, but something must have fell through, because Foghat ended up playing in Michigan that night. My band ended up playing at a club there instead. This is the hotel we stayed in after the gig. The drummer and me shared a room because him and I were in a band he had started before we both ended up joining this band. The new band wasn't working for us, so this was our last show with them and we reformed his band and we're together still.

I always like to roam around at night and get pictures where I'm staying. This shot was taken on July 3rd, 2015, with my Sony Alpha SLT-a77V DSLR.

The band I was in at the time was touring the eastern half of the United States. This night's stop happened to be in Nashville, Tennessee. When we finished playing and got back to the hotel we were staying at, I went out looking for things to take pictures of. I saw this eerie scene in front of the hotel's restaurant and bar.

This was a motel in Nebraska that I stayed at one night while bringing my brother's wife to stay with me for a year while my brother was overseas in the Air Force. It was a long ardurous journey to reach this place due to a blizzard that shut down the interstate in Nebraska. But, by taking the "scenic route," we finally made it.

This particular area in the motel was a little nook tucked away along the hallway on the floor where our rooms were located.
