A butte near Gemfield, Nevada north of Goldfield where the faith healer Reverend J. Hovah (Severn Darden) was having a revival in the original "Vanishing Point" movie.
Kowalski (Barry Newman) and the old prospector (Dean Jagger) brought the '70 Dodge Challeger R/T here to get gasoline from the reverend.
This photo was taken nearly 42 years after Vanishing Point was filmed and it is apparent that the Joshua trees grow very slowly because they have not changed much since 1970.
