I did some research, but couldn't find any history of this shop or the folks who ran it, alas. So the date range is just a guess. There's no phone area code listed, and Oregon got its first one in 1947. But this card looks much more recent than that.

Anyway, off to the more important stage: turning it into a pixel-art game where a cat raids the shop and you have to distract them before they can break everything. :D

I have a buddy whose spent most of his life in this part of town (though I don't think that he's ever worked at Alpenrose). He's drawn countless maps of the area full of cheesy (no pun intended) jokes that only locals would get. So I can never look at this map without giggling.
