During another prisoners swap, reportedly 164 on 164, arranged under the Istanbul Accords;
UKR also retrieved a number of civilians including several journalists and the civilian administrative mayor of Kherson.

Another POW exchange took place on 14th Aug 2025 with the release of 84 Ukrainian POWs. This is the 67th prisoner swop under the Istanbul Accords. As part of this exchange, 33 military personnel and 51 Ukrainian civilians were returned, some had been held since 2014, others were captured during the defence of Mariupol.

POW exchange DAY ONE --- 23rdMay2025.
Ukraine and Russia have begun their biggest prisoner swap so far, in the 1000 for 1000 format, as agreed in the Istanbul Accords. This should take three days, although ru has stated they are not releasing higher ranks but maybe some civilians.
