Jack Harrison Park on Wappa Dam

There is a large mural designed by schoolchildren designed to represent themselves and how we all fit into the natural world.
Kookaburra, Possum, Parrots, Pelican.

Wappa Dam is located west of Yandina in the Sunshine Coast
hinterland. The dam was constructed in 1963 on the South Maroochy
River and supplies drinking water to the interconnected supply network.
The lake has a catchment area of approximately 69.7km2 and holds 4694
megalitres of water at full supply.
Spillway Lookout
The lookout at Jack Harrison Park located at Wappa Park Road, Kiamba,
is a great place to view the dam when it is spilling.
