Ursprünglich war der Turm 50 m hoch, als Ruine sind es noch ca. 26 m.
Er dient immer noch als Seezeichen.

Er ist nahezu baugleich wie der Leuchtturm in Westerheversand. Es gibt allerdings nur ein Häuschen und (als Ersatz?) den Bauwagen.

dahinter die alte Kirche auf Pellworm. In einer Linie kann eine Tonne zusammen mit einem Seezeichen an Land zur Navigation verwendet werden. Verstehen tu ich ja rein gar nichts davon, aber man kann es im Inselführer nachlesen.
