Il territorio di Crevoladossola ha sempre avuto un grande rilievo storico perché è situato all’incrocio della Valle Divedro e della Valle Antigorio-Formazza, valli che davano accesso a importanti valichi alpini come il Sempione e il Gries.
Già un ponte romano si appoggiava con un’unica campata a tutto sesto solo sulle rocce,
mantenendo le murature fuori dall’acqua.
Il ponte sul torrente Diveria rappresentava allora l’unico punto di collegamento tra i diversi territori verso l’Europa del nord.
Il ponte di Crevola fu ricostruito nei primi anni del 1800, dopo che il 7 settembre del 1800,
Napoleone emanò l’ordine di dare inizio ai lavori per la costruzione di una strada carrozzabile, che unisse Milano a Parigi attraverso il passo del Sempione.
La strada doveva rispondere alle esigenze militari di quel tempo e permettere il passaggio delle artiglierie.
In precedenza esisteva un vecchio ponte in legno adatto al passaggio di cavalli e di piccoli carri ed era consigliabile, nei giorni piovosi o freddi, percorrerlo solo a piedi tenendo il cavallo per le briglie.
Il nuovo ponte “Napoleonico” di Crevola fu l’opera più importante e ardita, costruita in quel tempo, nel tratto Domodossola-Briga.
La sua larghezza consentiva l’incrocio di due carri nei due sensi di marcia senza particolare
difficoltà mentre una bassa spalletta proteggeva i fianchi della strada appoggiandosi a sbalzo verso l’esterno.
Il ponte supera il torrente in un tratto in cui la corrente appare molto forte e ancora oggi sono visibili i cambiamenti che esso ha subito nel tempo.
Il trasporto di massi durante le piene ha messo spesso a rischio la tenuta delle strutture.
La costruzione del ponte eseguita secondo gli ordini di Napoleone e conclusa nel 1803, come indica una lapide in beola che si trova a lato della strada, aveva le due arcate con travi di legno perché più facilmente demolibili in caso di necessità militari.
Successivamente sono state sostituite con le attuali arcate in pietra.

La centrale idroelettrica di Crevola: è un vero capolavoro dell’architettura industriale degli anni 20. Fu commissionata dall’imprenditore Ettore Conti direttore della Società per Imprese Elettriche Conti. L’edificio fu progettato dal famoso architetto milanese Piero Portaluppi nel 1923 e i lavori furono completati nel 1925. La centrale è in stile Decò, di cui Portaluppi fu uno dei principali esponenti. Il Decò recupera alcuni elementi dallo stile Liberty, fra cui la fusione di stili, ma abbandona la sovrabbondanza decorativa e favorisce il ricorso a elementi decorativi più semplici e geometrici. Un elemento caratteristico è la forma a pagoda della torre di raffreddamento. Nel 2017 le poste italiane hanno emesso un francobollo in commemorazione del cinquantenario della scomparsa di Portaluppi, che raffigura proprio la centrale di Crevola, a sottolineare l’importanza artistica dell’edificio.

Si trova sulla strada carrozzabile che da Trasquera porta alla frazione di Bugliaga (sul torrente Rì). Fu costruito nel 1880 (venne inaugurato il 10 settembre di quell’anno). L’altezza è di circa 100 metri, la luce dell’arco misura 33,30 metri.

La chiesa sorge nel centro dell'abitato di Varzo, in Val Divedro. L'attuale edificio, consacrato nel 1690 dal vescovo novarese Giovanni Battista Visconti è a tre navate separate a destra da colonne corinzie e a sinistra da una fila di bassi pilastri, scarse sono le notizie sulla storia della chiesa e dei suoi rifacimenti anche a causa della distruzione dell'archivio parrocchiale durante un incendio avvenuto nel XVIII.La cappella primitiva, dipendente dalla chiesa dei Santi Pietro e Paolo di Crevola, chiesa matrice della Valle Divedro, era poco più grande dell'attuale presbiterio. L'epoca di edificazione si può desumere dalla titolazione, a San Giorgio sono dedicate diverse chiese in Ossola accomunate dalla posizione strategica e riconducibili a probabili siti militari di epoca longobarda e poi franca, proprio tra queste milizie era diffuso il culto del santo, la cappella originaria potrebbe quindi essere antecedente all'anno Mille.Resti della cappella originaria si trovano nel sottotetto, frammenti di muratura sono identificabili con le pareti laterali.

Nel centro del paese spicca poi la Torre Medievale, facilmente riconoscibile per la sua struttura massiccia composta da pietra di granito, posta giusto fianco al municipio. Le origini della Torre Medievale si diramano al lontano XIV secolo, periodo in cui furono redatti gli Statuti della Valle. Storicamente adibita a luogo di vedetta, la struttura fu interamente ristrutturata nel corso del 1571, venendo successivamente abbassata e trasformata in abitazione privata.
