&lt;br /&gt;
Ce platane à feuille d'érable est un des arbres remarquables de l'Île de France. Outre ses dimensions importantes - 23m de hauteur, tronc de 1,4m de diamètre, houppier de 24m d'envergure - il a un port typique des arbres de prairies : peu élevé mais très étalé.&lt;br /&gt;
Une autre caractéristique le rend unique : une partie de sa couronne (branches basses) est très tortueuse (cf PiP n° 2). Anomalie causée soit par une piqure d'insecte qui aurait perturbé son développement, soit par une anomalie génétique.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;i&gt;This maple-leaf plane is one of Île de France's remarkable trees. In addition to its size - 23m in height, trunk 1.4m in diameter, crown 24m in span - it has a typical prairie tree habit: low but very spreading.&lt;br /&gt;
It has another characteristic that makes it unique: part of its crown (lower branches) is very twisted (PiP #2). An anomaly caused either by an insect bite that disrupted its development, or by a genetic defect.&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
