&lt;br /&gt;
The high walls have to cope with the second highest tidal range in the world, often exceeding 12 to 14 metres (approx. 40 to 50 feet) during spring tides. This extreme fluctuation is caused by the funnelling shape of the estuary and resonant amplification of the Atlantic tide,&lt;br /&gt;

Construction of Wick Harbour began in 1803 and was completed by 1811. It soon became a bustling port and a major player in the Herring fishing industry,&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 In a street just behind the camera lives the Old Pulteney Distillery which is an aging malt whisky production facility in Pulteneytown. The distillery has a visitor centre in Huddart Street, and produces the Old Pulteney Single Malt whisky! worth a visit if you have the time!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
HFF and a good weekend, large if you are able please!&lt;/div&gt;</description>
