RAF Puma HC Mk2 ZA940 'R' leaving Solent Airport.

Having arrived as a pair with XW237, this aircraft eventually left well after its erstwhile companion and is seen here with a solitary crewman framed in the doorway whilst still low over the airfield.

Having arrived as a pair with XW237, this aircraft eventually left some minutes after its erstwhile companion having had, apparently, some sort of temporary technical problem.

It has required some discipline to post only one picture from this evening's Cowes Week display by the Red Arrows, seen from Lee on Solent. The task was made a bit easier by the variable quality of my photographs although there are others I like.

The evening sun fell across the sports fields at HMS Sultan as preparations continued for the 2015 Summer Show (20 & 21 June). The helicopter exhibits are fairly predictable but I thought it worthwhile to try to take some fresh shots.

This is retired RAF Aerospatiale Gazelle XZ930.
