As of April 2016, there are several operators of the A380 into San Francisco. These include Air France, British Airways [on its second flight of the day (BAW/BA287/286)], Lufthansa and Emirates which flies direct to Dubai.

Here, Emirates A380-800 A6-EOL is seen taxying for the long flight, UAE/EK226, to Dubai.

This is not a true panorama as my attempt at that was a complete failure. It is instead a judicious crop of a shot I took to capture the departing BAW/BA284 (B772 G-YMMI) framed by two of the several departing aircraft at a busy San Francisco.

This picture, modest though it is, reminds me of how happy I was looking across the Bay at SFO's runways 28L and 28R.

The United B747-400s are to be withdrawn by the end of 2018. For the time being however, the type is a common sight at San Francisco. An unidentified example dominates a busy scene at the 28L/R holds as a JetBlue A320 and Delta B717 N935AT wait for the runway(s). For the sharp-eyed, I think the winglet of the aircraft of which part appears to the far left identifies it as an American B737-800.
