While other people buy souvenirs in their holidays, I took a bit of sand or ground/gravel (in a film box) everywhere I went and put it in small glass bottles. In the picture you see a part of them.
Besides sand from different beaches, deserts and parks it also has sand/ground from very prominent places. So from Graceland (Elvis' home in Memphis), the Vatican in Rome, the pyramids in Giza, Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna and the labyrinthine backyard of a Russian cellist's flat in St. Petersburg's Smolinksy district....
So meanwhile I'm a big landowner! I own some ground in many countries.

The Centre Loewenberg is a training centre of the Swiss Federal Railways near Murten in the Swiss canton of Fribourg. It is located on the estate of Schloss Löwenberg, a historic country estate. It was opened in 1983 and offers various railway-specific training facilities as well as premises and infrastructure for training and conferences.
Built under the supervision of Fritz Haller (the inventor of the USM furnishing system), it is one of the main works of the Solothurn architectur school.
What we see here is the view down into the atrium of one of the two residential pavilions.

The winter here in Bern was much too warm until now. In there were only 4 frost days (days below 0°C/32°F) in January. The statistical average of the last 30 years is about 20 days!
Now, in the middle of February it was partly so warm that I already saw bees at work!
The picture above I took this week when I was on my first bike ride this year. Dramatic weather. Right before a heavy shower. Dramatic weather creates dramatic pictures! ;-)

By the way: do you know the sonic/chocolate phenomenon?
The sonic propagates regularly in all directions in the space. But when you eat chocolate regularly, you mainly spread out in one direction only. ;-)

The cube is one of the five platonic bodies (tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, icosahedron), more precisely a polyhedron with six squares as boundary surfaces, twelve edges and eight corners, in each of which three boundary surfaces meet. The cube is a special parallelepiped, a special cuboid and a special straight square prism.

And => HERE is an online dice simulator. It is intended for cases where dice need to be thrown but no real dice are available. Click on "Würfeln". ;-)

When you stroll around in Bern very seldom it can happen that you see such a walrus. But the probability increases massively if you go to the Natural History Museum. That's where I took this. :-)

Übrigens: Schon gewusst? Auf den meisten Tastaturen haben die Buchstaben F und J eine kleine Erhöhung in Strichform. Diese kann man nicht nur sehen, sondern auch fühlen. Die Erhöhungen dienen dazu, die Orientierung zu erleichtern, für solche, die im Zehn-Finger-System schreiben ohne hinzusehen. F und J sind die Ausgangspositionen für die Zeigefinger.

Valencia – Lonja de la Sede (silk exchange)
The Lonja was founded in 1469 as an oil market. The design comes from a similar building in Palma. The architects were Pere Compte, Juan Yvarra, Domingo Urtiaga and Johan Corbera. The first stones were delivered on February 15, 1483, that was the day the construction begun.
It therefore lasted until 1533 (50 years) until the construction with its crenellated tower and the gothic contract hall were completed.
During the following centuries Lonja served as a silk market.
