BA 220, (Spindrift) Prawn Trawler tied up in Girvan Harbour.

Built: Launched on 22 August 1974 by Alexander Noble & Sons Ltd in Girvan, Scotland (a respected local boatyard known for building sturdy wooden or composite fishing vessels). The prefix BA is for the port of Ballantrae down the coast.

Despite many searches I am unable to find any information as to the cause of the damage, electrical or engine I would guess, however lack of news or search engine information would indicate no injuries were sustained!

The SS Sir Walter Scott is a historic steamship that has been operating on Loch Katrine in the scenic Trossachs region of Scotland since 1900,
Built in 1899 by William Denny and Brothers in Dumbarton (with the engine by Matthew Paul & Co.), the ship was constructed as a "knock-down" vessel: assembled for trials on the Clyde, then dismantled, transported by barge up Loch Lomond, hauled overland by horse-drawn carts, and reassembled on the shores of Loch Katrine before launching in 1900.
She measures about 110 feet (34 m) long, with a beam of 19 feet (5.8 m) and 115 gross register tons. (Grok)

Uig is a village at the head of Uig Bay on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. In 2011 it had a population of 423.

Another view of Ben Nevis, this time from across the Corpach Basin and Loch Linnhe.

The Corpach basin is at the western end of the Caledonian Canal, vessels heading east face a staircase lock comprising eight locks on the Canal. Built by Thomas Telford between 1803 and 1822, it is the longest staircase lock in Britain, and known as "Neptune's Staircase"

This is an archive image from 2009 therefore quality may be lower than usual.

A small section of sea front wall art at Weston Super Mare showing stones painted by local artist Kate Poole,
The stones on the left depict the at present dilapidated Birnbeck Pier and across the bottom the famous steam ship, m/s Balmoral which has sailed from Weston for many years.

More images of these lovely stones will follow in due course.

Another angle on the Dunnet Head Lighthouse, captured on a sunny but hazy afternoon, This is the most Northerly point on the British mainland and the island of Stroma forms a misty backdrop,

The lighthouse which was built in 1831 is 66 feet tall and stands on the 300-foot cliff top at the Western end of the Pentland Firth.
