Adjacent to the Pizza Hut site, the former Solent Cleaners is also being demolished as part of the preparations for a new retail development. A third building, further to the west, has already been demolished.

More change is afoot in Havant and I intend to record it although not as intensely as with some of my other projects. The Solent Retail Park in Solent Road is to expand and, with the eventual agreement of Pizza Hut [qv] to move, work will soon progress beyond the tentative start already made. Preceding Pizza Hut, Solent Cleaners has already closed and moved to the nearby Central Retail Park. The signs have been taken down from the front and a banner advertises the Central Retail Park and Farlington sites.
