Damit leisten sie einen enormen Beitrag zum biologischen Gleichgewicht in unseren Gärten und Wäldern.Täglicher Neubau: Da die Klebekraft des Netzes durch Staub und Trockenheit nachlässt, bauen viele Radnetzspinnen ihr Netz fast jeden Tag neu – oft in weniger als einer Stunde! Das alte Netz wird dabei häufig gefressen, um die wertvollen Proteine der Seide zu recyceln. haben meist einen kräftigen, oft kugelförmigen Hinterleib und acht Augen, die in zwei Reihen angeordnet sind.

Spiders are highly efficient hunters of flying insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and aphids. In doing so, they make an enormous contribution to the biological balance in our gardens and forests. Daily rebuilding: Because the adhesive strength of the web diminishes due to dust and dryness, many orb-weaver spiders rebuild their webs almost every day – often in less than an hour!
